Statement From Speaker Sheldon Silver

I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Barbara Bruno, wife of Senator Joseph Bruno.

Throughout the years that we have worked together, in all of our conversations, Senator Bruno's devotion to his family has always been foremost in his heart. It is clear that his wife, children and grandchildren have always been a source of great strength and pride. I hope that this strength will be a solace to him during this difficult time, and my thoughts and prayers are with him.

On behalf of the Assembly Majority conference, I extend heartfelt condolences to Senator Bruno and his entire family.
