Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver spoke with reporters Monday, following the swearing-in ceremony for Gov. David Paterson. Silver commended Paterson for his commitment to unifying the state and moving forward to deal with the challenges of reviving New York’s economy as well as providing quality education, health care and affordable housing.
