Solages: NYS Budget Includes Additional Funding for Valley Stream LIRR Station Renovations

$45 Million of extra funding in FY 2025 NYS budget to make much-needed improvements for several LIRR stations

Valley Stream, NY – Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages is pleased to announce that the recently passed New York State budget for Fiscal Year 2025 includes additional funding earmarked for renovating several Long Island Railroad (LIRR) stations, including the Valley Stream Long Island Railroad station. The allocation of $45 million in extra funding underscores the state's commitment to addressing the pressing need to improve several LIRR stations, including Valley Stream.

The Valley Stream LIRR station is a vital transportation hub for residents and commuters, facilitating travel to and from various regional destinations. However, the station's infrastructure has long been overdue for upgrades to meet modern safety, accessibility, and functionality standards.

Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages remarked, "The budget's allocation for the Valley Stream LIRR station enables much-needed renovations.
