Dear Neighbor,

Thank you for taking the time to access my Web site. Communicating with my constituents has been my number one priority since taking office. As an elected representative it is most important that I learn what is on the minds of my neighbors, and also, they need to know, not only how I vote in the Assembly, but what I think about the important issues and what I am doing to benefit them in our community.

We who live in the neighborhoods I represent — Sheesphead Bay, Gravesend, Manhattan Beach, Midwood and Brighton Beach — are fortunate to live in some of the finest communities in the state. While this is comforting to know, it takes much energy, work and vigilance to make sure that it remains this way.

The legislative calendar keeps me in Albany for part of the year. However, whether I am working on legislation in the Assembly Chamber or attending a community rally on a street corner here in our community, my concern is always what is best for the approximately 120,000 men, women and children who live in the 45th Assembly District. Please know that even when I am representing you in Albany my experienced staff is working hard to cut through bureaucracy, address community concerns, answer questions and resolve personal problems for you and your neighbors.

The majority of this Web site highlights many of the issues I have been involved in both in our community and up in Albany. Please take a photo tour through our community to learn about some of the many local events I attended and concerns I dealt with. This Web site also contains useful information. However, since communications must be a two way street to be effective, I invite you to use the easy contact screen to share your ideas, views and concerns with me. Of course, if you would rather call, come in or write “the old fashioned way” I welcome hearing from you too.
