Norris Congratulates FASNY President

Assemblyman Mike Norris (R,C-Lockport) presented a New York State Proclamation to commemorate the appointment of Ed Tase as the president of the Firefighters Association of the State of New York (FASNY). Tase is a constituent of the 144th Assembly District and a longtime volunteer firefighter. He serves with the South Lockport Volunteer Fire Company where the proclamation was presented at their annual luau-themed company installation dinner, after Norris swore in the new officers.

“Our communities are so much stronger because of the volunteer service of our firefighters and EMTs,” said Norris. “I have worked very hard to strengthen state laws to show our state’s appreciation for their service, since we can never truly say thank you enough. We are so fortunate to have Ed Tase leading the charge for volunteer fire companies across our state in this mission at FASNY.”

Norris also saluted Gloria Brown for her 50 years of service to the Ladies Auxiliary, which has been a branch of FASNY since 1932. The auxiliary currently has 548 members, with 188 auxiliaries participating across the state. To learn more about the FASNY, please go to https://fasny.com/about/lafasny/.
