“Securing our fair share of state education dollars has always been my top priority.
This funding is an investment in the future, and I won’t stop fighting until every child
						receives the best education possible.”

		Ramos delivers for local schools

As a member of the Assembly Education Committee, Phil Ramos fought for a state budget
that delivered for our children’s schools. Ramos:

			-

Secured nearly $13 million more than the governor proposed for local schools this
				year alone

			-

Rejected the proposed cuts to the BOCES program

			-

Restored the funding needed for schools to conduct criminal background checks on
prospective employees to keep our schools safe

		Making education a top priority

Ramos fought to deliver important funding for educational initiatives. He has:

			-

Secured $1 million for the Long Island Educational Opportunity Center ATTAIN Lab project
in Brentwood to help residents prepare for successful careers

			-

Secured more than $500,000 for local groups and projects, including after-school programs,
				libraries and playgrounds
