Assemblyman Stirpe: Legislation to Allow Beer and Wine Sales in Movie Theaters Passes Assembly

“Today, my Assembly colleagues and I took another step to help struggling businesses recover from the economic impact of the ongoing pandemic with a measure allowing movie theaters outside of New York City to sell beer and wine (A.2452-A). This legislation, which I co-sponsored, will help one of the hardest-hit industries get back on its feet and encourage more people to support our local theaters.

“The last two years have been challenging for these local enterprises which are so vital to Central New York. As we begin to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, I’ll continue to stand behind legislation that boosts our economy, supports local businesses, and moves New York’s recovery forward.”
