Officials Continue Event Series in Rego Park

Rego Park, NY – Local elected officials announced two upcoming community events taking place in Rego Park during the month of April.

The first is a community cleanup that will take place this Saturday, 4/13 at 10am, beginning at PS 139 on 63rd Drive and Booth Street. The effort is being organized in conjunction with Assemblymember Catalina Cruz, Assemblymember Andrew Hevesi, Senator Joe Addabbo, Congressmember Grace Meng, and Queens Community Board 6. Event organizers will be providing all necessary supplies. Students will be able to claim volunteer service hours, with more than 15 students already having received credits through Assemblyman Hevesi’s spring cleanup series.

The second event is an employment and community resource fair organized by Assemblymember Catalina Cruz in partnership with Assemblyman Hevesi, the Queens Chamber of Commerce, and numerous local businesses. The fair will take place Friday, 4/19 from 12-3pm at the Rego Park Library on 63rd Drive. Individuals may email or for additional information.
