Assemblyman Santabarbara to Join the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) to Release 2022 Report Card on New York’s Infrastructure

Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara, a professional engineer by trade, will be joining the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Region 1 Board of Governors and New York State Council to release of the 2022 Report Card for New York’s Infrastructure. Santabarbara joined the group for their last report issued in 2015.

The Report Card for New York’s Infrastructure is designed to educate lawmakers, the media and the public about the health of local infrastructure. New York's civil engineers assign grades according to the following eight criteria: capacity, condition, funding, future need, operation and maintenance, public safety, resilience and innovation. Using a simple A to F school report card format, the 2022 Report Card for New York's Infrastructure will provide a comprehensive assessment of current infrastructure conditions and needs and make recommendations for how to raise the grades.
