Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara Highlights $2.M in Funding Secured from His Office for the Capital Region Aquatic Center, Now Sited at Viaport Mall in Rotterdam

The signing of a letter of intent to lease over 80,000 square feet of space at the ViaPort mall represents a significant milestone in the advancement of this project, injecting new life into the mall and transforming it into a hub of aquatic excellence.
I am proud to have secured $2.5 million in funding from my office for this remarkable undertaking, fully recognizing the positive impact it will have on our community. This investment will not only enhance the quality of life for our residents but also attract prestigious aquatic sport competitions, drawing thousands of visitors from all corners of the United States to the Capital Region each year. This influx of visitors will undoubtedly stimulate our local hotels, restaurants, retail businesses, and create valuable job opportunities.
