Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara is inviting Capital Region residents to take a break from the demands of everyday life and experience the physical and mental benefits of yoga during a no-cost Community Yoga Session on Saturday, July 25th, at 9:00 a.m. The event will feature internationally recognized yoga instructor Guru Dileepji, founder of the World Yoga Community, and is open to participants of all skill levels—from complete beginners to experienced practitioners.

Held outdoors at the Mohawk Harbor Amphitheater, 221 Harborside Drive in Schenectady, the event is designed to promote health, wellness, mindfulness, and community connection in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

“Whether you’re looking to reduce stress, improve your flexibility, or simply enjoy a peaceful morning outdoors, this event is for you,” said Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara. “Yoga is for everyone, and we’re excited to offer this opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to come together, learn something new, and prioritize their well-being.”

Originally from Kerala, India, Guru Dileepji has spent decades teaching yoga and wellness practices to communities around the world. His engaging instruction makes yoga accessible to participants of every experience level.

Community members are encouraged to bring a yoga mat and comfortable clothing. There is no cost to attend, but advance registration is requested as space is limited.
