Assemblyman Santabarbara Continues Thank You Card Project for Essential Workers “PROJECT GRATITUDE”

Hundreds of cards received, hundreds delivered, more to be delivered to essential workers for TODAY

Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara recently launched a letter-writing project for kids home from school during COVID19 — special thank you messages to essential workers during this crisis. He put out a call for school kids at home this past April to print out the specially designed card on his website (www.assembly.state.ny.us/mem/Angelo-Santabarbara) or create their own and take a moment to write thank you messages to the heroes keeping us safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. The response has been amazing with hundreds of cards received and hundreds delivered. This afternoon Assemblyman Santabarbara will be making a special stop with cards for members of the Schenectady Fire Department Thursday.

“During this crisis our essential workers are the local heroes of our time and they deserve our unwavering gratitude,” said Assemblyman Santabarbara.

With such a great response, PROJECT GRATITUDE continues into MAY! Letters can be mailed directly to Assemblyman Santabarbara’s district office at 433 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12305 and we’ll deliver them to our heroes!

In addition, community members are encouraged to take photos with their completed cards and post them to Assemblyman Santabarbara’s social media pages using the hashtag #ProjectGratitude.
