Assemblyman Anil Beephan, Jr.’s Bill Honoring East Fishkill Veterans Passes New York State Assembly
Legislation would dedicate portion of Route 376 near future Veterans Park to local veterans
Assemblyman Anil Beephan, Jr. is pleased to announce his legislation, Assembly Bill A.10742, has passed through the New York State Assembly. The bill designates a portion of State Route 376 in the Town of East Fishkill to honor local veterans.
The bill dedicates the stretch of roadway surrounding the future Veterans Park in Hopewell Junction, located across from East Fishkill Town Hall, the East Fishkill Community Library and the Hopewell Hose Fire Company as a lasting tribute to the men and women from East Fishkill who served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
“I am incredibly proud to see this legislation pass the Assembly, and it represents an important step toward honoring the brave men and women who have served our country,” said Beephan, Jr. “Our veterans have sacrificed so much in defense of our freedoms, and this designation ensures their service and legacy will be permanently recognized in the very community they helped protect.”
Beephan, Jr. introduced the legislation to create a meaningful and lasting recognition for East Fishkill veterans, particularly in an area that will soon serve as a central gathering place for remembrance and reflection through the future Veterans Park.
“I remain committed to ensuring our veterans receive the recognition and respect they deserve,” Beephan, Jr. said. “I look forward to working to see this tribute become a reality for the families and residents of East Fishkill.”
