“Coming to Albany as the newest member of the Assembly Minority Conference, I was and continue to be ambitious and eager to change Albany for the better.
“As a Ranking Minority Member on the People with Disabilities Committee and a member of the Education committee, I am working with my colleagues for legislation to make all playgrounds handicapped accessible and for New York State ID Cards to be printed in braille.
“I have secured $25,000 for local libraries to help them improve access and infrastructure and am fighting to protect the local control of our private and religious education institutions.
“I’ve worked with my colleagues to pass legislation to create a study which will help improve the content and quality of Holocaust education in New York schools, as well the furtherance of the Adult Survivors Act – ensuring that victims of sexual abuse can fight for and be assured justice.
“In addition, I continue to speak out against dangerous elections reforms, cashless bail laws, and spiraling inflation and consumer costs. We need to pass the Inflation Relief and Consumer Assistance Plan and cease all sales and gasoline taxes until families are whole again.
“In just a few short months we’ve solved countless constituent casework issues and supported many community initiatives. I look forward to always serving you first and being an unwavering voice for the 20th District and all of Long Island.”
