Assemblywoman Woerner Hosts 2026 Women of Distinction Awards

Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner (D-Round Lake) hosted her annual Women of Distinction Awards at the Inn at Saratoga on April 26th. During the ceremony, Woerner recognized 15 honorees from the 113th Assembly District to highlight the inspirational work women do in our community.

“Women’s contributions in our society often go unnoticed,” said Woerner. My Women of Distinction Awards recognizes the change makers as well as the quiet givers who have left a lasting impact in their communities and beyond,” said the Assemblywoman.

Receiving over 60 nominations for women throughout the district, Woerner enlisted the assistance of a volunteer selection committee to choose awardees across five categories: educator, veteran/servicewoman, businesswoman/non-profit inspirer, exemplary community volunteer and other.

Woerner’s honorees for this year’s Women of Distinction Awards are Andrea Baxter, Dr. Erin Christopher-Sisk, Brittany Creel, Mandy D’Andrea, Nancy Deeb, Wendy Delacruz, Geri Lynn Feeder, Sheila Holman, Riley Lawrence, Darcy Leigh, Margo Olson, Patricia Pleu, Megan Quillinan, Sara Quartiers and Tabitha Slater.

“Choosing the awardees each year is always the most difficult task, and I thank the Selection Committee for their hard work,” said Woerner. “I have now honored over 113 women in the 113th Assembly District. Yet, there’s still an abundance of women worthy of recognition, I encourage everyone to recognize women who make meaningful contributions to our community.”
