Tague Honors Patti Dushane for Opening and Operating Community Food Pantry

Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C,I,Ref-Schoharie) presented a legislative resolution this week to Patti Dushane of Catskill for her service to her community in her establishment and operation of Matthew 25, a food pantry that helps families in need and is staffed entirely by volunteers. She was recognized by ABC News 10 as a Capital Region Remarkable Woman and has now been recognized for her efforts by the New York State Legislature.

“Patti Dushane embodies the spirit of selflessness and community that makes upstate New York such a special place to live,” said Tague. “She has created a tremendous organization from the ground up. It’s operated entirely by volunteers dedicated to helping their neighbors in need with food and other resources. I was honored to be able to present her resolution to her in person after it passed prior to the pandemic, as she has done even more since then to assist her community as they faced the height of COVID-19. Patti Dushane is truly a model citizen, and I thank her for everything she’s done for countless families throughout our region.”
