- Didi toured the Milan Volunteer Fire Department and met with Chairman Jack Gomm and Board Member Larry Brody.
- Assemblymember Barrett partnered with Congressman Pat Ryan to host a Veterans Resource Fair held at Dutchess Community College. The event brought more than 30 veteran groups and support networks together from across the Hudson Valley.
- Didi joined Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado and local leaders to march in the OutHudson annual pride parade and festival in Hudson alongside constituents and friends.
- Assemblymember Barrett and Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie visited Eddie Collins Memorial Park in Millerton to announce funding for the construction of a swimming pool and pool house at the park, allowing the Millerton Park Committee to complete Phase 2 of their revitalization plan.
- Didi celebrated with new American citizens at a Naturalization Ceremony held at the historic Martin Van Buren National Historic Site in Columbia County.
- Didi attended a ribbon cutting celebrating the completion of another section of the Harlem Valley Rail Trail. She secured funding to repave this 3.6-mile stretch of trail that runs through Taconic State Park.
- Assemblymember Barrett with Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County in Millerton for a groundbreaking on a 1,000 square-foot, 3-bedroom home, marking a new beginning and a stable home for a family in need.
- Didi marching in the Pleasant Valley Day Parade alongside friends and neighbors.
- Didi visited the Fairview Fire District to see the new ladder truck she secured funding for to enhance the department’s ability to respond to emergencies effectively and ensure safety in the community.
- Didi announced she secured $375,000 in funding for the Stissing Center in Pine Plains for critical renovations, including an ADA-compliant elevator to help ensure this valued cultural hub is accessible for all to enjoy.
- Assemblymember Barrett at the Hudson Housing Authority’s Community Halloween Party co-hosted by 1199 SEIU and Columbia County Sanctuary Movement.
- Didi visited Columbia-Greene Community College to see students present their Tiny House designs.
- Assemblymember Barrett joined U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer and the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse Preservation Society to announce the launch of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ efforts to restore the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse, a nationally renowned historic site and engineering marvel that has stood for over 150 years.
- Didi visited Hawthorne Valley Farm in Ghent to see the new pasteurization machine she secured funding for, helping the farm improve their environmental sustainability.
- Assemblymember Barrett visited the site of the former VandeWater landfill in the Town of Poughkeepsie to announce she helped secure funding through the New York Department of State’s Brownfield Opportunity Area Program. This helps the town reimagine this abandoned plot of land into a new mixed-use community space.
- As Chair of the Assembly Energy Committee, Didi held a joint hearing with Transportation Committee Chair Assemblymember Bill Magnarelli to discuss and evaluate the rollout of New York’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
- Assemblymember Barrett joined Pine Plains Future Farmers of America (FFA) students and school administrators to celebrate the success of the Farm to School breakfast program at the Pine Plains Central School District.

- Assemblymember Barrett welcomed the Chatham High School boys’ varsity baseball team to the Assembly floor to celebrate their 3rd State Championship victory. Go panthers!
- Didi assisted with distributing food at the new Dutchess Outreach Farm Stand, part of their mobile food pantry program, in the Town of Poughkeepsie which she secured funding for!
- Assemblymember Barrett recognized NYS Trooper Samantha Plass, a constituent from Taghkanic, on the occasion of receiving the Superintendent’s Commendation Award for her acts of bravery and heroism. Trooper Plass responded to a fire in Clinton, though it was outside her patrol area, assisting fellow first responders and providing emergency medical care to two small children.

- Assemblymember Barrett attends an Open House at 81 Garden Street in Poughkeepsie. This newly renovated home, the work of Hudson River Housing, Inc., will now be the home of four female veterans. Hudson River Housing is a nonprofit based in Poughkeepsie, but it serves all of Dutchess County and other areas of the Hudson Valley. It is primarily a housing organization and has been around 30+ years. They provide affordable housing, housing education, and supporting services to individuals and families and work to revitalize neighborhoods. Services range from providing emergency shelters, apartments, helping first time homeowners with financial advice, and several community initiatives working with entire neighborhoods to improve quality of life. Part of their agency undertakes real-estate redevelopment. In addition to working with households all over the county to build housing units and revitalize neighborhoods, part of its agency provides supportive services for veteran’s families, such as case management, support, and financial assistance.
- Assemblymember Barrett stands with union leaders, elected officials, IBM workers and coalition groups to oppose large corporations who use tax-subsidies and then lay-off workers.
- Maple producers are growing fast in our state -- the association's membership has grown by 25 percent in the last three years -- and creative cooks are coming up with all sorts of uses for maple products.
