Assemblyman Braunstein Announces Winners of Mother’s Day Essay and Poetry Contest
Bayside, NY – Assemblyman Edward C. Braunstein (D-Bayside) is proud to announce the winners of his annual Mother’s Day Essay & Poetry Contest for students in grades two through five. They are:
- 2nd grader: Caleb Yoon, P.S. 94 in Douglaston, essay titled, “All About My Mom”
- 3rd grader: Brady Kim, P.S. 203 in Bayside Hills; essay titled, “Happy Mother’s Day”
- 4th grader: Matteo Zuccarello, P.S. 98 in Douglaston; titled, “Mother’s Day Poem”
- 5th grader: Ellie Kang, P.S. 32 in Flushing, essay titled, “One of a Kind Mom”
“Congratulations to Caleb, Brady, Matteo and Ellie, who should each be very proud of their creative and heartwarming award-winning entry. Their achievement is shared by their family, teachers and school community,” said Assemblyman Edward Braunstein. “Thank you to all of the students from schools throughout Northeast Queens who submitted entries to my office’s annual contest. I wish everyone a happy and safe summer!”
Each grand prize winner received an Amazon gift card and a New York State Assembly Certificate of Merit. All entrants received a participatory certificate.
