Ra Hosts Annual Blood Drive

Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) recently held his annual blood drive in conjunction with the New York Blood Center at the Gold Coast Library on July 27. Forty-one pints of blood were collected, and this will help save 123 lives. Congratulations to Nassau County Police Officer Mike Siarkowics, who was awarded a prize for being the 550th donor in the 10-year history of the event.

“Our annual blood drive was a tremendous success. I was pleased to be joined by many gracious donors who selflessly donated in the hopes of helping those within our community. I want to thank those from New York Blood Center and Gold Coast Library for their continued support for our annual blood drive. With their help, we can continue to provide blood and other essential lifesaving treatments to hundreds of individuals in the area,” said Ra.
