Giglio Announces LIRR Construction Work in Riverhead

Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio (R,C-Riverhead) shared news that the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) team will be working on the Sweezy Avenue grade crossing in Riverhead on Tuesday, March 26 and Wednesday, March 27, and the station will be closed both days from approximately 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. The first day is scheduled to be for main track service, with the second day being for crossing pavement.

“So many of us rely on the LIRR, so I’m happy to spread the word about these potential disruptions,” Giglio said. “All commuters should be prepared to make accommodations to account for the closures and construction.”
