“Drivers licenses for undocumented immigrants will be the catalyst to a whole slew of privileges soon to be awarded. The Assembly Majority has gone behind the federal government’s back to grant incentives for illegal residents, and now there’s no plausible reason not to come into this country illegally and settle in New York State. This is another political power play by state Majority in the midst of federal immigration enforcement. Instead of awarding those living here illegally, we should be creating real solutions, such as providing smoother pathways to citizenship.”
