Amherst – Assemblymember Karen McMahon (D-Amherst) has announced that she will once again be partnering with the New York State Department of Labor to hold a job fair for those seeking to launch a career or transition to a new one. The job fair will take place on Friday, May 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Northwest Amherst Community Center, 220 Northpointe Parkway, Amherst, NY 14228 (off of North French and Sweet Home Roads).

“To help connect talented workers with local employers, I’m partnering with the Department of Labor to hold a job fair right here in our community,” said Assemblymember McMahon. “If you’re looking to move forward in your career, the perfect opportunity could be waiting for you.”

Over 40 local employers in the education, trades/manufacturing, healthcare industries, and more, will be on hand and prepared to offer immediate, on-the-spot interviews. Resume workshops will also be available to help job seekers elevate their resume with guidance and suggestions from career advisors. The event is free and open to the public and does not require registration.
