Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C-Ballston) and her staff handed out over 1,000 rapid COVID-19 tests to residents of the 112th Assembly District yesterday, April 27. Walsh’s office received 5,000 rapid tests from the state and has been working diligently to distribute these tests to residents and local businesses in need.
“These tests were sent to members of the Legislature by the governor without any warning. Unfortunately, we did not receive these at the peak of the ‘winter surge’ when testing was in much higher demand,” said Walsh. “While we didn’t ask for or anticipate receiving this large shipment of tests, my team and I felt it was important to get them into the hands of those who wanted or needed them before they reached their expiration date.”
Walsh’s office still has many tests remaining after yesterday’s drive-thru event. If you, your organization, or business is interested in picking-up any of these remaining tests, please call the district office at 518-884-8010 or email email@example.com.
