Walsh Reacts to Gov. Cuomo’s State Of The State Address

A statement from Assemblywoman Mary Beth Walsh (R,C,I-Ballston)

“I am concerned that the litany of initiatives that Gov. Cuomo presented today may leave Upstate New York behind once again. If we’re going to move forward with the components of this agenda, then we need to do our due diligence to review, discuss and implement them in a thoughtful manner. We cannot rush such drastic, and often costly, statewide changes.

“New York’s budget is among the largest in the nation, and while I approve of some of the topics touched on today, such as a permanent property tax cap and increasing education funding, I fear that the direction of this agenda is not one that all New Yorkers can get behind. As we move forward with this session, I fully intend to make the concerns and voices of all of the 130,000 individuals that I represent heard equally.”
