Assemblyman Matt Simpson Welcomes State Champions to Albany

Assemblyman Matt Simpson (R,C-Adirondack) welcomed the Queensbury Central School District Nordic Ski Team to the New York State Assembly, where they were formally recognized on the floor for capturing their third consecutive NYSPHSAA State Championship this past winter.

The Spartans dominated the competition at Bristol Mountain, showcasing outstanding teamwork and individual excellence under the leadership of Coach Paul Allison.

“I am incredibly proud to welcome the Queensbury Nordic Ski Team to Albany and recognize them here in the Assembly for their remarkable three-peat as state champions,” said Simpson. “These student-athletes exemplify the values of hard work that define our North Country communities. Their success brings great pride to Queensbury, and I congratulate the athletes, coaches, families and school community on this outstanding achievement.”

Dan Stec (R,C-Queensbury) added, “Winning a state championship in any sport is a tremendous accomplishment and more than deserving of celebration,” said Stec. “It was my pleasure to spend time with the Queensbury Varsity Boys Nordic Ski Team and personally congratulate them and their coaches on their successful season and honor them with a Legislative Resolution. Congratulations to the team, their coaches and to senior Alden Guay on their impressive performances and commitment to their sport and school community!”
