Assemblywoman Nily Rozic Visits Jewish Institute of Queens
Highlights commitment to quality education and community engagement
Queens, New York – Assemblywoman Nily Rozic recently visited the Jewish Institute of Queens, where she met with school leaders, faculty, and students to recognize the school’s continued commitment to providing an education rooted in scholarship, values, and cultural identity. During her visit, Assemblywoman Rozic spoke with students about the value of learning that reaches beyond academics—emphasizing the importance of character, empathy, and civic responsibility.
“Education is the most powerful tool we can offer our children,” said Assemblywoman Rozic. “The Jewish Institute of Queens exemplifies how academic excellence should go hand in hand with preparing students to make meaningful contributions to their communities.”

Rozic engaged with administrators on the shared mission of supporting families and strengthening educational opportunities across Queens. Assemblywoman Rozic’s visit reaffirmed her steadfast commitment to advancing education and fostering unity across Queens’ vibrant neighborhoods.
In addition to her work with JIQ, Assemblywoman Rozic has recently announced several community investments, including: $350,000 grant for a new local volunteer ambulance for Queens Hatzolah, $30,000 for a new STEM lab at Queens Hebrew Academy, and $15,000 for an Adult Education Program at Young Israel of Hillcrest. These initiatives reflect her ongoing dedication to empowering local institutions that enhance safety, learning, and community life.
