Assemblywoman Amy Paulin Applauds $30 Million Investment in New York’s AAPI Communities

Albany, NY Assemblywoman Amy Paulin (D-Westchester) today celebrated the inclusion of more than $30 million in the FY 2027 New York State Budget to support Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities across New York State. "I was proud to support this funding in the state budget and will continue fighting to ensure that AAPI organizations and residents receive needed resources,” said Assemblywoman Amy Paulin.

The funding, secured through the advocacy of the New York State Assembly Asian Pacific American (APA) Task Force and legislative leaders, will support AAPI-serving organizations that provide language access services, culturally responsive programming, housing assistance, workforce development, education initiatives, healthcare services, economic development programs, and crisis intervention resources. The budget also includes funding for research and educational initiatives through both CUNY and SUNY focused on advancing equity and opportunity for AAPI New Yorkers.

"I’m proud to stand with my colleagues on the Assembly APA Task Force in successfully advocating for this investment in New York’s AAPI communities,” said Paulin. “AAPI New Yorkers are an essential part of the fabric of our state, and a large and important part of my district in Westchester County, and they deserve access to resources and services that will allow their communities to thrive.”
