Statement from Assemblyman Charles D. Fall on the Crisis in Gaza
In moments of profound human suffering, our responsibility as public servants is to lead with empathy, courage, and moral conviction. What we are witnessing in Gaza is a humanitarian crisis that demands urgent global attention and moral clarity. Children are starving, families are grieving, and entire communities are being devastated by a conflict with no end in sight.
As I’ve stated previously, I unequivocally condemned the violence that claimed innocent lives on October 7 and continue to call for the safe and immediate return of all hostages. At the same time, we must reject any form of selective compassion. The widespread destruction in Gaza, particularly the toll on civilians and children, is both devastating and unjustifiable.
This is not a time for silence or division. It’s a time to recognize the humanity of every person affected. There is no military answer to this crisis, only a diplomatic one that prioritizes peace, dignity, and the protection of life.
I’m calling for immediate, unrestricted humanitarian aid to reach the people of Gaza, and I urge our national leaders to act with urgency and resolve. We must do everything in our power to break this cycle of suffering. Every life is sacred, and every child deserves the chance to live in safety and without fear.
