Students Invited to Join Summer Think Tank

Calling all college and high school students, the time is now to sign up for Assemblyman Charles Lavine’s summer “Think Tank” program.

Interested students will have the opportunity to spend Friday mornings engaged in an open discussion with the Assemblyman concerning current events. Students will be asked to research topics and report back on what they have learned.

Students will also have the chance to see what it is like to work in a government office. Throughout the week participants will have the chance to help out with constituent issues, research and draft press releases and even draft a bill. It is not required that students commit to a full week.

The summer program will include special guest speakers, visits to the Nassau County Legislature, City of Glen Cove council meeting and to the home of Long Island’s favorite president, Theodore Roosevelt’s Sagamore Hill.

To schedule an interview please email your resume to Tara Butler Sahai at butlert@nyassembly.gov.
