Assemblywoman Buttenschon to Honor Mohawk Valley Women Who Make Our Community Better

Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon (D, I Utica/Rome) is seeking nominations for the 2022 Women of Distinction Awards to recognize and honor local women who are making a difference in the community and the lives of others despite the unprecedented challenges facing the state and nation. Awards will be given for work in various fields, including health care, business, volunteer work, education and military service. Winners will be honored at an awards ceremony on April 15, 2022, at the Utica State Office Building.

“The Mohawk Valley has been shaped by extraordinary women who never fail to inspire us to do better,” said Assemblywoman Buttenschon. “I look forward to again having the honor of celebrating these hometown heroes for the great strides they’ve made professionally or their contributions to our communities during my annual Women of Distinction Awards. The deadline to submit nominations for Assemblywoman Buttenschon’s 2022 Women of Distinction Awards is Friday, March 25. Nomination forms can be printed from the website and mailed-in or submitted directly through her Assembly webpage.
