Assemblyman Colton’s Weekly Pop-Up Office is Open for Business

Have an issue that needs resolution? Not sure where to turn? Assemblyman William Colton (D—Gravesend, Bensonhurst, Bath Beach and Dyker Heights) has just opened a pop-up office in the heart of Bensonhurst to assist constituents who have issues to bring to his attention but may have difficulty getting to his district office in Gravesend.

“We are really pleased to have the opportunity to offer our constituent services to people who are unable to come to the district office,” said Assemblyman Colton. “My experienced staff is happy to bring its expertise in tackling a wide range of problems, from questions about Medicaid to requests for new bus shelters, to constituents who may never have asked for our help before. So, please stop in with your questions, or just to say hello.”

The pop-up office is open Fridays from noon to 4 p.m. at Il Centro, 8711 18th Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11214, with English, Chinese and Russian-speaking staff members on hand, and Assemblyman Colton invites constituents to stop by if they are in need of assistance.

So far, at the newly opened pop-up office, Assemblyman Colton’s staff has fielded a variety of quality-of-life complaints as well as ones related to navigating governmental bureaucracy.

Of course, if it’s more convenient, constituents can still visit the district office at 155 Kings Highway with their concerns. That office, as always, is open Monday through Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. and Friday, from 10 a.m. to noon. For more information, call 718-236-1598.
