Department of Buildings Info and Assistance Day Coming to Assemblyman Colton’s District Office
Constituents who have questions or concerns for the Department of Buildings (DOB) can meet with representatives of the agency at the district office of Assemblyman William Colton (D—Gravesend, Bensonhurst, Bath Beach and Dyker Heights) on Tuesday, April 15.
The reps will be on hand at the office, 155 Kings Highway, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to aid area residents who may have questions about a range of technical matters from curing violations to securing work permits, and to answer queries about such subjects as gas pipe inspection. Those who wish to take advantage of this opportunity must have an appointment, and can make one by calling 718-236-1598 or emailing contrinoa@nyassembly.gov.
“Government bureaucracy can be notoriously challenging for residents,” said Assemblyman Colton. “By bringing representatives of the Department of Buildings to our office, we are hoping to simplify the process and help our constituents cut through the red tape that can sometimes entangle them.”
