I obtained a $100,000 State grant to fund De-Escalation Training for the Yonkers Police Department’s 611 Police Officers. I and my wife Sana had the distinct honor of meeting with the King Abdullah ll of Jordan, when he came to New York for the United Nations General Assembly. As the first Jordanian-American elected to the New York State Assembly, the meeting provided the opportunity to discuss issues facing Jordanian Americans and to build on the bonds that link our two countries.
